Kim Soo Hyun’s worrying connections with Disney
Dear Sir,
I am writing to express my concern about your connections with Korean actor
Kim Soo-Hyun.
We all know that Disney is a top global brand loved by people of ages and
especially the youngsters and children. However Mr Kim Soo-Hyun admittedly
dated deceased actress Kim Sae-Ron at 18, being naked at her home and sending
love letters to her when she’s underage, were entirely unacceptable. It is
apparently a case of sexual grooming.
Prada and many global and local brands have cut ties with him. It’s so
disappointing that we are yet to hear the same from Disney. I can’t see why
we should continue support Disney as such a horrible molester is in the main
cast of your drama series Knock Off.
It is a very serious matter and I sincerely hoped that you and Disney can
notice the severity of the case and act promptly.
I would propose everyone to stop buying Disney products, visit Disneyland and
end Disney plus subscriptions until the brand has deal with this matter.
I may just be an average person and KDrama lover, I hoped that you’re
willing to listen as Ms Kim Sae-Ron’s tragic suicide is highly susceptible
to Kim Soo-Hyun. It’s been a huge scandal that is unlikely to be resolved in
the foreseeable future.
As a tribute to Ms Kim, we also want to take this opportunity to build a
better, healthier environment for the female actresses and even all ladies as
a whole in Korea and the world. Removing molester like Kim Soo-Hyun is an
important first step. Disney has long been a pioneer of empowering girls and
women. Hope you would not let us down this time.

關於金秀賢與迪士尼合作關係的擔憂

本人致函旨在表達對貴司與韓國演員金秀賢合作關係的深切憂慮。
眾所周知，迪士尼是深受全球各年齡層——尤其是青少年與兒童喜愛的頂級品牌。然而金
秀賢先生曾公開承認與已故女演員金賽綸（當時18歲）交往，在其未成年時便裸身共處一
室並寄送情書，此等行為完全不可接受。這顯然涉及性誘導（sexual grooming）嫌疑。
普拉達等眾多國際及本土品牌已與其終止合作。令人失望的是，我們至今未看到迪士尼採
取相同舉措。在貴司劇集《Knock Off》仍由如此惡劣的性騷擾者擔任主演的情況下，我
們實在無法理解為何要繼續支持迪士尼。
此事性質極其嚴重，本人誠摯希望貴司及迪士尼能認識到事件的嚴重性並迅速採取行動。
本人呼籲大眾停止購買迪士尼產品、遊覽迪士尼樂園及續訂Disney+服務，直至貴司妥善
處理此事。
儘管只是普通韓劇愛好者，但鑒於金賽綸女士的自殺悲劇極可能與金秀賢有關——這樁重
大醜聞在可預見的未來都難以平息——仍希望貴方能傾聽訴求。
為紀念金賽綸女士，我們亦希望藉此契機為韓國乃至全球女性演員（及全體女性）構建更
安全健康的行業環境。清除金秀賢這類性騷擾者是至關重要的第一步。迪士尼素來是賦能
女性權益的先驅，望此次勿令我們失望。
