When you talk about dynasties in the NBA, the first two teams that are likely to
come to mind are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. This is only na
tural simply because these two teams are the two top franchises in the league in
terms of championships won. Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls and of course, the
present-day Golden State Warriors are also often mentioned when it comes to the
most influential dynasties in the history of the sport. Often overlooked are the
San Antonio Spurs, a team that dominated the NBA for many years during the late
1990s and the 2000s.

San Antonio icon Tony Parker, who himself won no less than four rings as a promi
nent member of the Spurs dynasty, has now spoken out about this travesty. The fo
rmer six-time All-Star acknowledged that the Spurs are indeed overlooked at time
s. However, he does not mind this one bit:

we talk about the Bulls, Lakers, Celtics, Warriors — it doesn’t bother me bec
ause when I go home, I have my four rings too. So, I will put them against anybo
dy.”
