Starlux Airlines axes Taipei-Manila flights

Taiwanese carrier Starlux Airlines operated its final flight on the
Taipei-Manila route on Saturday, March 30, 2024, marking the end of service
to the Philippine capital. (3/30 最後一班)
The last flight, JX-786, departed Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International
Airport at 11:49 am local time and arrived at Taipei’s Taoyuan International
Airport at 1:32 pm. (JX 786 1149 離開馬尼拉,1332 抵達臺北)
The route suspension comes as Starlux adjusts its network for the IATA summer
schedule beginning March 31, 2024. (2024 夏季班表停飛)
Prior to the suspension, flights between Taipei and Manila were operated
three times weekly aboard the airline’s Airbus A321neo aircraft.

Inaugurated on July 8, 2021, with twice-weekly flights, the Taipei-Manila
route served as an early expansion point for Starlux in the Philippines.

Starlux will continue to provide direct flights from Taipei to Cebu and
Clark, utilizing the same Airbus A321neo aircraft. (宿霧跟克拉克不受影響)
The airline currently operates daily flights to Cebu and three weekly flights
to Clark. (目前使用 A321neo 天天營運宿霧、一週三班克拉克)
While ending Taipei-Manila, Starlux is also adding new routes this summer
including Taipei-Seattle and increasing frequency on other Southeast Asian
routes like Taipei-Tokyo (Narita).

The airline was founded in 2018 and commenced operations in 2020 as a premium
carrier based at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport. Its current fleet

同場加映,菲律賓航空公司今天宣布將於 2024/10/2 開航 馬尼拉-西雅圖。

剛剛去查菲航票價最便宜好像有來回 ~700 鎂的。
另外,跟朋友聊天提醒臺菲航約在 2015 修約時 MNL-TPE 這段是每週 30,000 座位數。
也就是臺籍跟菲籍每週分別可營運 30,000 座。就二月份星宇還要飛的資料來預估(因為
華航 4/15 要增加每週三班 321,大概類比情況差不多 188>>180 座):

菲籍 5J+PR+Z2 = 26702+24174+20940 = 71816/4 = 17954
實際二月29天,航權暫時還不會用完。
